MUSASHI® SAMURAI LEGEND™

Musashi’s legend lives on in this new adventure. Utilizing his two-fisted sword-fighting skills he protects his colorful cast of friends in his latest journey.

The second release of the Musashi series makes its debut on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system featuring exhilarating, fast-paced, action-packed gameplay utilizing cell-shaded graphics. Like a true samurai, Musashi’s powers of observation will pay off in the heat of battle as he channels this energy to learn his opponents’ techniques. A new mode of his protective services has also been employed, in which he literally carries his characters to safety.

Takashi Tokita will be taking the helm as Producer. Tokita has extensive experience in game development with his credits including roles such as Director, Producer and Designer. His work includes numerous notable titles including Chrono Trigger, FINAL FANTASY IV and Parasite Eve.

Yoichi Yoshimoto returns as Director to bring his creation to the next level in gaming technology. The original game BRAVE FENCER MUSASHI for the PlayStation® game console was claimed by critics as an action-packed adventure incorporating an impressive presentation with lush graphics and a stellar soundtrack. Advancements in tools allow Yoshimoto to expand upon his original vision of Musashi and add new elements as well.

Tetsuya Nomura, renowned character designer of the FINAL FANTASY and KINGDOM HEARTS series, brings Musashi and his cast of quirky characters to life in this unique new world. Combining his creativity with Tokita and Yoshimoto, gamers will dive into a classic samurai adventure set in this brand new world.

The Surf Coasters, hailed by the U.S. magazine Billboard as “princes of surf guitar,” have caught the attention of big names in Japan as well. In addition to their own work as a band, the Surf Coasters create music for game and anime soundtracks and handle production for other artists. This eclectic group of musicians will bring their fiery style to the opening theme of Musashi.

Gainax, a highly respected Japanese animation studio renowned for their masterpiece, Neon Genesis Evangelion, will be handling animation production. With high standards and quality in mind, Gainax will create animation sequences in MUSASHI SAMURAI LEGEND.
