The pageantry and excitement of college football hits the PlayStation
2 gridiron with NCAA® GameBreaker 2004. For the first time in the
history of the NCAA GameBreaker franchise, gamers can take their skills
online and compete against other college football fans anytime, via
broadband or dial-up. This year
NCAA GameBreaker 2004 has added animated mascots, cheerleaders and sideline
personnel as well as new bowl games and hidden stadiums. GameBreaker
returns with a number of gameplay modes to choose from including Exhibition,
Season, Tournament, Bowl Season and the new Practice Mode. Authentic
college football formations like the wishbone, flexbone, full house,
power-I, and wing-t deliver the non-stop college football action gamers
· Online Compatible - This year NCAA GameBreaker 2004 allows
gamers to take their skills online and compete against other college
football fans anytime, anywhere. Some of the online features include
a centralized lobby, dial-up and broadband connectivity, leader boards,
in-game chat, buddy lists, tournaments and more.
· New Offensive and Defensive Playbooks - Both the offensive
and defensive playbooks have been completely rewritten offering numerous
new plays that cater specifically to college football. Specific school
tendencies have been mimicked to real life Nebraska attacks with the
option attack and BYU opens it up with the passing attack.
· New Practice Mode and Play Editor - Enter the new practice
mode to sharpen your skills before playing an exhibition or entering
season mode. The new play editor challenges your X's and O's and let's
you drum up new plays that you can incorporate into your team's playbook.
· New Play-By-Play and Color Commentary - Tim Brant (play-by-play)
and Keith Jackson (color commentary) return to the franchise loaded
with all new commentary that describes all the bone-crushing hits and
game breaking plays.
· New Mascots, Cheerleaders and Sideline Personnel - In an effort
to simulate the atmosphere and ambiance that makes college football
so special, GameBreaker 2004 has more than 50 new fully animated and
polygonal mascots along with animated cheerleaders.
· Coaching Career Mode - This is your chance to climb the competitive
ladder of college coaching and win a National Championship. Start as
a head coach or coordinator at one of the smaller schools and see if
you really know your football.
· Comprehensive College Style Football - Authentic college football
formations like the wishbone, flexbone, full house, power-I and wing-t
truly deliver a realistic college football experience. "Blue Chip
Recruiting" returns to GameBreaker 2004 enabling users to heavily
recruit at both the High School and Junior College level.
