Eidos Fact Sheet

Product Description
Praetorians is an epic 3D troop-based strategy game set amidst the political machinations of an emerging Roman Empire. Gamers will be transported back to the dusty battlefields of Egypt, the combat theatres of Gaul, and finally to the heart of the Empire itself. Gamers will attempt to defeat thousands of different troop types and war machines, all with special skills and individual strengths. Praetorians emphasize strategy, and gamers must learn to combine their units and exploit the weakness of the enemy. As players get closer to the Emperor, things become even more difficult as they must face the elite Praetorian Guard, the most powerful and deadly fighting force in the Empire.

Played out in jaw-dropping 3D visuals - from the immense scale of the Pyramids right down to the individual centurion, Praetorians is stunning in its detail, scale and beauty. The game is also incredibly intuitive, belying its sophisticated game engine and allowing skilled strategy gamers and beginners alike to fully immerse themselves in the story with absolute ease.
