RISE & FALL: Civilizations at War™ is the first real-time strategy game to place players directly in the heart of combat as a heroic general fighting side-by-side with their troops. Players can completely command one of the four mightiest empires of the ancient world as in a traditional RTS, but can also use RISE & FALL’s innovative Hero Mode to enter the battlefield as one of history’s eight greatest heroes, controlling the likes of Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Cleopatra and more, as they slash through the enemy ranks to turn the tide of battle.

Features:

Powerful Civilizations
Choose from four of the ancient world's mightiest empires: Persia, Greece, Egypt or Rome.

Hero Mode

Engage in awe-inspiring feats of heroism by joining troops during climactic battles, using an action/adventure game style third-person perspective to personally impact the outcome. Control one of eight unique Heroes each with special abilities and weapons: Julius Caesar, Germanicus Caesar, Cleopatra, Ramses the Great, Sargon, Nebuchadnezzar, Achilles and Alexander the Great.

Naval Combat
RISE & FALL offers an unprecedented level of detail for naval combat, which plays a large and vital role. Fight for control of the seas by boarding and ramming enemy naval vessels using massive, accurately-scaled biremes and triremes. Outfit warships with infantry, archers, ballistae, or catapults— you decide what units to put on your ships.

Realistic Units and Weapons
Enlist more than 80 unique units, including footmen, archers, cavalry, siege and massive triremes. Use realistically-scaled siege towers, ladders, and battering rams to annihilate city defenses and clear the way for ground forces.

Multiplayer
Up to eight players will battle it out across numerous multiplayer game types, including a team-based mode where one player manages resources while the other unleashes the full power of Hero Mode against the enemy team.
