Leading MMO publisher OGPlanet expands presence into Europe and announces its plans to launch Rumble Fighter as its first game.

London, UK, 21st May 2009 – OGPlanet, a leading publisher of free-to-play Massively Multi-player Online (MMO) games, has today announced the extension of its gaming platform to European players with the launch of its first European game in July, casual Mixed-Martial Arts (MMA) fighting game Rumble Fighter.

Looking to capitalise on the company’s success in North America where it currently has four free-to-play MMO games available on the market, OGPlanet has also announced the opening of its European office, based in London, to drive its presence in the region.

“Following its great success in the US, Rumble Fighter, with its rich graphics and exciting game play, is the perfect title for European players of all ability and ages,” said Stephan Ansari, VP of European Operations, OGPlanet. “The European market is one of largest MMO markets in the world and it gives us great pleasure to be expanding into such a passionate and interactive gaming community.”

Inspired by Japanese animé and developed by Nimonix, Rumble Fighter throws players into a battle zone of good versus evil. The game is free to download and available to PC users, who can choose to enter the melée and play by themselves, or join forces with friends and other community players.

Rumble Fighter’s rich gaming content enables players to customise their character’s appearance as well as choose from a wide variety of fighting methods, each with its own distinct style and special combo moves: from Classic boxing to Kungfu, Taekwondo or Ninjitsu and many more. With the introduction of its unique “ExoCore” system, players can undergo transformations during battle, transforming into werewolves, giant knights and other creatures. All of these elements create an easy to learn and visually exciting gaming experience.
