In Shrek the Third™, players journey as Shrek® and his friends to save Far, Far Away in a twisted fairytale adventure from the movie and beyond. The Nintendo DS™ and Game Boy® Advance versionsare two unique games that give players a different gaming experience than the console and PSP versions of Shrek the Third. Assuming the roles of Shrek, Puss-in-Boots and newcomer Artie, players journey beyond Far Far Away with the help of Merlin’s magic wand. The Nintendo DS game tells the story of how Shrek and friends must work together to solve puzzles and defeat enemies while overcoming the band of villains that Prince Charming has sent out to capture Shrek. Shrek the Third for the Game Boy Advance closely follows the storyline of the movie as the characters complete great quests that end with them saving Far Far Away from the villainous Prince Charming.

KEY FEATURES:

  • Multiple playable characters each with their own unique abilities that can be switched between on the fly
    • Both the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance versions feature Shrek, Puss-in-Boots and Artie as playable characters and players must utilize them as a team to get through certain levels.
    • Players will learn how to utilize each character’s strengths to solve certain situations.

    • The Game Boy Advance version features Donkey as a playable character that joins the team of Shrek, Puss-in-Boots and Artie.
  • Wireless multiplayer co-operative gameplay on Nintendo DS for up to three players
    • Shrek the Third for the Nintendo DS is the first ever wireless cooperative multiplayer game on the platform allowing players to play together (not against each other like most multiplayer games) through the entire game.
    • Gameplay spans across both Nintendo DS screens and the entire game is playable in both single and multiplayer mode.
    • Up to three players independently control one of the three main characters.
    • In “Dual Screen Spectator Mode,” a player that is not controlling a character can aid with spells and microphone input.
  • Both game worlds include interactive objects that react to the characters’ input as well as touch screen controls.
    • Donkey uses Merlin’s Magic Wand to remotely aid the playable characters with humorous spells.
    • Players use the built-in Nintendo DS microphone to activate select magical spells and abilities such as Artie’s ability to float across water.
    • Innovative use of the touch screen allows characters’ movements to be enhanced through sweeping strokes of the stylus.
