Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

There are two modes in the game. One of them is the mode of destruction in which you control a cannon (its shot angle and shot power), in order to destroy the enemy camp. On the way to the victory, there are blocks which build the enemy's fortifications. In order to pass a level, the camp must be destroyed, regardless of whether or not the fortifications are still standing and the player has managed to sidestep it somehow or whether – to complete the task – the player has broken all the possible blocks in dust. With each higher level, the enemy builds stronger fortifications and ruining them is a bit more difficult.

The player can use different kinds of cannonballs (such as grapeshots - three smaller cannon balls instead of one, in order to do more damage) but the number of each of them is limited. The higher the level, the more cannonballs the player can use.

Another mode is the mode of construction. Here you will be able to spend gold coins earned in the previous game mode for the purchase of various types of blocks, which can be used to build the fortifications of your own castle. When the player decides that the fortifications are strong enough and finishes the construction, the strength of the fortresses will be tested by A.I. In the full version of the game, the player will be able to save the built construction and have it tested by other players.
