SONIC ADVENTURE(tm) 2: BATTLE

Platform: Nintendo GameCube(tm)
Genre: Action/Adventure
Ship: February 2002

Battle to save the world - or conquer it - in Sega's "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" for Nintendo GameCube. The theme this time around is head-to-head competition! The showdown between Hero and Dark continues - this time on a global scale - with dramatic improvements and upgrades for even more fun and excitement. Gamers can experience more than 30 lightening-fast action stages through cities, jungles, military bases and even outer space, with more than 150 missions.

In "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle," gamers can play as either Hero or Dark characters. Hero characters include Sonic, Knuckles and Tails, and they're out to save the world from impending global doom. Villainous Dark characters include Dr. Eggman, Shadow and Rouge, and are bent on destruction. The good vs. evil dynamic is fully explored in "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle," with new battle stages that greatly increase the breadth and depth of two-player versus mode. The stages are divided into skill levels for easy pick-up-and-play action for beginners and experts alike.

Finally, utilizing a brand-new Cable Link connectivity, players can raise and transport Chao between "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" and "Sonic Advance(tm)" for the Game Boy® Advance. This never before seen hardware connection allows gamers to raise their own good or dark Chao on the Nintendo GameCube and move it from their home system to their Game Boy Advance, extending the fun of Chao-raising beyond the living room.

Features:

* 12 playable characters including three HERO characters, three DARK characters and six characters from the timeless Sonic The Hedgehog® series, such as Amy, Metal Sonic and Chaos Zero

* Each character has unique abilities for deep and varied two-player gameplay

* New two-player "Battle" action modes allow users of all ages to play at different difficulty modes, greatly increasing the breadth and depth of versus play

* Six types of battle gameplay, including Sonic's high-speed 3D action racing, Knuckles' treasure hunting, Tails' shooting match, kart racing, Chao racing and Chao karate

* New, acrobatic moves - gamers can Grind, Grab Edges and Swing from poles as the Hero Sonic or the villainous Shadow

* New Cable Link with Game Boy Advance makes raising Chao even more entertaining - now gamers can spend time with their Chao on the go!
