CREATE A PARTY ISLAND WITH EIDOS' SPRING BREAK

Can't afford a vacation? Afraid to step foot in the sun? Eidos brings the party to your PC

San Francisco, CA (October 18, 2001) - Eidos Interactive (NASDAQ: EIDSY), a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment for the PC and console gaming systems, today announced that its party simulator Spring Break is currently in development by Deep Red. Based on a game concept by Eidos' executive chairman Ian Livingstone, the Spring Break bash will begin in Spring 2002.

"A spring break vacation is the perfect experience to bring to the PC. Eidos has combined everything we love about partying on an exotic island - live music, romance, beach activities, water sports, bikinis, beautiful people and hot sun - to create island adventures at their best," said Ian Livingstone, Executive Chairman at Eidos Interactive. "It's up to the players to decide what kind of spring break resort they want to create and the type of people they want to attract to it. Players will know instinctively how to play it."

Set on a chain of exotic tropical islands, players compete to create the most successful vacation experience. Gamers build all-inclusive resorts featuring beautiful hotels, bars, night clubs, restaurants, water sports, a variety of spring break activities, and more. Once the party is created, players sit back and watch all the self-indulgent visitors' fun in the sun. Gamers reap all the joys and the headaches of running a typical vacation resort, from romance and unruly guests to food poisoning and inclement weather.

Clive Robert, managing director of Deep Red said, "Spring Break's objective is to be fun, light-hearted and exotic. It appeals to both males and females and plays on everyone's desire to head out on a wild, spring break get-away."

Every scenario in Spring Break is based on a different island. Each island features different types of guests, unique hazards, various attractions, and more. In addition, each island has its own set of objectives, which players must achieve in order to create a successful, thriving resort. For example, one island objective might require players to focus on water activities; another may require players to create the ultimate night club experience. If you manage to accomplish the scenario goals, you will unlock additional islands and game features.
