Hamburg, Germany, April 24th, 2008 – Hamburg-based dtp entertainment AG, one of the leading German game publishers, and the development studio 49Games, also based in Hamburg, today announced that the new sports game Summer Athletics will appear in summer 2008 as a multi-platform title for the next-generation game console Wii™, Xbox 360™, PlayStation 2™, and PC. Players can expect an abundance of disciplines from a variety of summer sports in this title.

Summer Athletics brings sports right into your living room: exciting competitions in over 25 of the most popular summer sports disciplines, such as sprinting, hurdles, cycling, archery, javelin, hammer throw, and swimming, will provide long-lasting fun.

Summer Athletics will be action-packed multi-player fun for the entire family. The intuitive controls are individually tailored for each discipline and platform, in order to bring the best game-play experience to the player.

Four different difficulty levels in two gaming modes, arcade and career, will provide addictive fun to both, experienced and casual gamers alike. The game will feature a character editor, lifelike 3D graphics, realistic athlete animations, and an impressive stadium atmosphere with the flair of live competitions.

The teaser website can be visited at www.summerathletics.com. Available screenshots are taken from the PC version of the game.
