Watchmen: The End Is Nigh is a prequel to Watchmen, the upcoming film directed by Zack Snyder, scheduled for release from Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures in March 2009, and based on the highly acclaimed and best-selling graphic novel from DC Comics. Watchmen: The End Is Nigh starts 10 years before the film's main story, with the hero-banning Keene Act still a few years away and crime and terror ruling the streets. Get ready for a hardcore, street brawling experience as Nite Owl and Rorschach track and beat down criminals and uncover a dangerous conspiracy. For America, it is the time of Watergate, and the Watchmen find themselves entangled amongst subversive and morally corrupt elements from the highest reaches of power, the ramifications of which trickle all the way down to the gritty streets of New York City. Watchmen: The End is Nigh features bloody, visceral combat in rich settings. Players chose between playing as Rorschach or Nite Owl and each playable character features distinct combat abilities, as well as a collection of their own unique finishing moves--such as Rorschach's Rage and the technical wizardry of Nite Owl's Owlsuit--to eliminate opponents with maximum brutality. The game contains six distinct chapters, built around events referenced in the film and graphic novel.

* Play as two distinctive Watchmen characters with unique abilities:
* o Rorschach, a feral, streetwise fighter who can disarm enemies to use their own weapons against them
* o Nite Owl, a refined fighter who uses martial arts expertise and high-tech wizardry
* Watchmen: The End is Nigh features six chapters of gut-wrenching action, including locales from the film, allowing for hours of intense gameplay action and a fully developed storyline
* Intense, visceral battles – fight up to 20 enemies at the same time in bloody street fighting action
* Play with friends in split screen co-op multiplayer competition, or solo with an A.I partner
* Visually stunning graphic design stays true to the moody tone of the Watchmen world
* Strong replayability from different characters' perspectives, combat styles and co-op play
