The Game Revolution Live Chat is an IRC-based Java chat. Below you'll find some of the most common commands to help make your chatting experience better. Just type the command line into the chat with the proper information and watch the magic. Enjoy!

-Register Nick:
This will set a password protect your nickname. If someone is trying to use your nick it will not let them access anything without the correct password.
Command Line: /ns register (pass) (email)

Example: /ns register arglebargle johnq@public.com

-Nick Kill:
If you have you have registered a nickname, this will increase its protection. If someone attempts to use your nickname, it will only give them 60 seconds to enter the correct password before it changes their name back to guestXXXXX.
Command Line: /ns set kill on

-NickName Info:
This tells you:

  • Real Name (Only if Set)
  • If or Is Not online.
  • Last Seen Address.
  • Last Seen Time.
  • Time the Nick Was Registered.
  • Time Now.
  • If or If not the User has enabled Nick Kill.
  • When the NickName will expire.
This Only Works if the nickname is Registered.
Command Line: /ns info (nick)
Example: /ns info JohnQPublic

-Drop Nick:
If you have registered a nickname and no longer want it, use this.
Command Line: /ns drop (pass) (email)
Example: /ns drop arglebargle johnq@public.com

-Set Nick-Pass:
If you have registered a nickname and want to change your password, use this.
Command Line: /ns passwd (newpass)
Example: /ns passwd hogwash

-Change Nick:
If you want to change your nickname, just enter the new nickname you want.
Command Line: /nick (newnickname)
Example: /nick johnqpublic

-Make Actions:
This is just for fun. If you want to refer to yourself in third person, use this.
Command Line: /me (action)

Example: /me laughs at the funny looking man.

That's it! There are more commands, but they are complicated and not necessary. Now get out there and chat up a storm!
