It is widely known that Google is looking to release a more affordable alternative to the Google Pixel 3 named the Google Pixel 3 Lite. What is the Google Pixel 3 Lite release date, however? What is the Google Pixel 3 Lite?
Not yet officially confirmed by Google, the Pixel 3 Lite looks set to be more affordable than its bigger brothers the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL. Reportedly (in a YouTube video from Andro News), the Pixel 3 Lite (codenamed Sargo) is set to be a little behind in terms of power than the Pixel 3 and XL in an effort to save you money. Its full specs are reported to be as follows:

- GPU: Adreno 615
- Memory: 4 GB RAM

While undoubtedly a powerful phone with these reported specs, the Pixel Lite 3 does look as though it will lag behind the Pixel 3 and XL. The camera quality should be similar, however, although it will apparently lack a second selfie camera and front-facing speaker. It also looks as though it is encased in plastic, which is another money-saving effort by Google. The reported return of the headphone socket is appreciated, though. Everything taken into account, it is reported that the Pixel 3 Lite will set you back around $400-500.
Expected Google Pixel 3 Lite Release Date
Again, as there is no official word on the Google Pixel 3 Lite from Google itself, it is difficult to ascertain its release date. We have heard, however, that it is likely to release in India on January 29, 2019. It’s not unheard of for smartphone manufacturers to release budget-friendly editions of its phones to markets such as India. The video linked above, meanwhile, mentions that we’re not likely to see the Google Pixel 3 Lite release until Spring 2019. Hopefully, Google announces a release date soon.
