The Destiny 2 Cosmodrome loot cave location has been discovered, with players able to farm some Prime Engrams and rare gear. Rather than an actual cave, though, this is a doorway filled with respawning enemies that drop rare items. Here’s the lowdown on where to find the Destiny 2 loot cave location and what items it should drop.
How to find the Destiny 2 Cosmodrome loot cave location
The loot cave in Destiny 2 is an easter egg to the infamous loot cave in the original game. This time around, though, it is not a cave, but a doorway filled with respawning Fallen that drop rare items such as Prime Engrams that happens, once more, to be in the Cosmodrome patrol area. Head to the Divide area of Cosmodrome in the Earth patrol zone to find it.

Head to the area highlighted in the map image above. Here, players will find a doorway in which Fallen spawn. Defeat the respawning Fallen and they will drop rare loot for players to nab, including new gear and Prime Engrams.
Simply stand a little distance from the door and Fallen will spawn every so often. Defeat these enemies and they will drop items. According to Reddit threads such as this one, these are the item drops the “loot cave” will give players:
- Prime Engrams
- Blue-rarity items (most common)
- Purple-rarity items
- Scorch Cannon
After spending some time at the Cosmodrome loot cave in Destiny 2, players should have farmed some good new gear and Prime Engrams. Clear the Divide area before heading to the loot cave, though. If players don’t clear the Divide area first, the Fallen will not respawn at the doorway location detailed above.
