Cyberpunk 2077 does an excellent job of leading the player to whatever objective they’re trying to accomplish, at least most of the time. The first confusing objective (but not the last) players will encounter is in “The Pickup,” when they have to turn on the production line to clear the passage. Unfortunately, the way to turn on the production line isn’t readily apparent and is easily overlooked, even with the marker on the minimap.
How to turn on the production line in “The Pickup” in Cyberpunk 2077
V and Jackie must go to the Maelstrom gang’s hideout to obtain a robot of Dexter Deshawn. Unfortunately, the unhinged gangsters aren’t easy to deal with. There’s a high potential that it won’t be a peaceful exchange. It’s likely possible to make it through the mission peacefully, but most players will quickly find themselves in a gunfight.
When things go south with the Maelstrom gang in Cyberpunk 2077, players will need to find a way to escape from the plant. As part of this, V must turn on the production line to clear a passage. However, when players follow the marker, they might have issues finding the way to turn the production line on.
The room the waypoint leads players doesn’t seem to contain a passage at first glance. The minimap makes it seem like it’s a dead-end, but that’s not the case. This room includes a small catwalk the player must climb onto to find the switch to start the production line. Just look for the stack of crates in the room and jump on them to see the button V needs to press. This will clear the doorway nearby and allow V and Jackie to move towards the factory exit. Players still have to fight their way out of the Maelstrom hideout, but it’s fairly straightforward outside of the production line hiccup.
