2010 GR Awards: Best Racing Game

Posted on Tuesday, December 21 @ 14:41:40 Eastern by Jesse_Costantino

At launch, Gran Turismo 5 inspired a “I love you, but I’m not in love with you” attitude among longtime fans of the series. All the ingredients for a sexy, hot time in the cockpit were there, but some usability and multiplayer issues kept it from being the debauched love-fest it sought to be. Fast forward a month and we’ve seen Polyphony Digital add so many new tweaks, features, and upgrades that there’s nothing left standing between you and making sweet, sweet love to your four-wheeled sex machines. And the promise of monthly updates means that our love-lives will be kept as exciting as the day we first strapped in and grabbed the wheel. For serious race fans, no other console racing game comes close to rubbing you in all the right ways that Gran Turismo 5 does.

Runners-Up (in alphabetical order) - Blur, ModNation Racers, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, Split/Second
