Xbox Live, Wii Virtual Console Spin Sonic Right Off the JP Store on Oct. 30

The Wii Virtual Console and Xbox Live Arcade are about to get a lot less of Sonic's patently sexual gameplay. Today, Oct. 30 (it's Oct. 29 to you in North America, but Oct. 30 is the last day to snag Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on those digital stores.

Sega hasn't said why it's pulling these entries of its most erotic franchise, but Sega Reasons™ are rarely passable as logical moves, so it won't do much good if the company does ever clarify what's up. I might guess that an official enhanced re-release might be on the way, but that's, again, taking a useless guess at the moves of a company who makes decisions based on the direction of a Ouija board. A sexy, sexy Ouija board.
