Friday The 13th: The Game Beta Extended To Christmas – How To Get A Key

The beta testing period for Friday the 13th: The Game has been extended to Dec. 25, as a thank you from the development team. This announcement came in a Tweet from the game's official twitter account.

The beta was originally slated to go from the 19th to the 23rd, but technical difficulties on the first day led the development team to extend it to the 24th. But, apparently Santa Claus even visits Camp Crystal Lake.

The question now, of course, concerns how you can actually get into the dang Beta. Here's three solid suggestions:

3. Pre-Order It

It's not the best option, because, although reception of the Beta has been mostly positive, you still don't know if it's going to be the right game for you, specifically. That being said, if you're dying to get your hands ont he beta, you can pre-order at F13Game.com and get access to the Beta for a full three days, if you do so today.

2. Stalk @Friday13thGame on Twitter

The game's Twitter account has been handing out Beta keys in massive waves, with sometimes 20 keys at a time. Of course, these keys are disappearing faster than the horny counselors of Camp Crystal Lake, so you'll want to act fast. I suggest installing a web-browser app that automatically refershes Twitter (Twitter Autorefresh is my suggestion), that way you'll see them as soon as they pop up.

1. Beg on r/F13TheGame

The Sub Reddit for Friday The 13th: The Game has a stickied thread dedicated to people giving away and asking for keys. You'll have to be fast, or have a compelling post, but your chances here are probably greater than a random giveaway on Twitter.
