Former Journey Dev Says TGC’s Next Game Will “Change The Industry”

After blowing away the gaming world with Journey, acclaimed developer thatgamecompany has moved on to create a new, multiplatform title that will apparently bring our jaws to the floor once more.

Former employee Asher Vollmer recently announced on his blog that he will be departing the company to develop games on his own, but spoke incredibly highly of TGC and its upcoming unannounced project. "The game is going to be incredible, but it is moving slowly. There are YEARS remaining on the project and, quite frankly, those are years I don’t want to give up for a game that isn’t truly mine," he explained.

With regards to what thatgamecompany's new game will be, Vollmer went on to add, "Obviously I can’t divulge any details about it, but… It’s going to be huge. And I don’t mean it’s going to be a long sprawling game, I mean it’s going to be an IMPORTANT game. I genuinely believe it’s going to change the industry in a really positive way."

Alright Mr. Vollmer, you've done your job. I am totally hyped for this game and I have absolutely no idea what it is.
