World of Warcraft Subscriber Numbers Fall to 7.6 Million

Activision Blizzard has released its 2014 Q1 financial results, which indicate a steady decline for its incredibly successful MMO, World of Warcraft.

As of March 2014, the subscriber numbers have fallen to 7.6 million, which is by no means a small number, but still a decline compared to the 7.8 million figure back in December. Check out the handy graph below (via NeoGAF), charting the game's initial subscriber numbers back in 2005 up through June of 2009.

I think it's safe to say that WoW's best days are behind it, but considering the fact that the game has been out for nearly a decade, its current 7.6 million subscriber base is nothing to scoff at.
