Letter From The Editor: Welcome Jason Faulkner, Our New Lead Editor

Hi folks.

This week is a special one at GameRevolution, as we welcome our new Lead Editor Jason Faulkner into the fold.

Jason was previously the co-Editor-and-Chief of [email protected], Gaming Editor at Mic and Contributing Editor at Shack News. He has also previously freelanced at Playboy, Destructoid, GamesRadar, CGMagazine and our own sister site, PlayStation Lifestyle. Jason brings to GR an extensive knowledge of the gaming industry, a keen eye for popular features and experience in guiding the direction of a gaming outlet.

I’m thrilled to be a part of such a storied publication, and I hope to bring exciting and quality content over the months and years to come.

Jason’s favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy VII, as “the unique modern/fantasy blend of the world opened my eyes to video games being something more than just toys.” This year he’s mostly been playing Persona 5 (“it takes a lot of what was annoying in Persona 4 and completely fixes it”), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (“it’s just one of the best games ever”) and Yakuza 0 (“I am eternally glad that Sega is giving a lot more support for this series in the West now”).

On a personal note, I am very excited to have Jason on board with us and he has some great ideas for GameRevolution’s future. GR is set for a great few months as we roll ahead with our new look editorial team, with Jason, Cody Perez and I putting all of our effort into GR to make the site as great as it can possibly be. Please take the time to leave a comment for Jason below!
