Monster Hunter World Split-Screen

What Are You Playing? Dragon Ball FighterZ, Monster Hunter World, and More

Finally, after a particularly dry January for video games, the new releases are starting to roll in. This week will see the launch of both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Monster Hunter World, two of our most anticipated games of 2018, while we’ve also been tucking into some lesser-known new games, too.

I’ve been playing a lot of Dragon Ball FighterZ this week, while waiting for its online servers to go live. I was suitably impressed with the foundations laid down by Arc System Works, though as is the case for any multiplayer-focused game, I can only post my final thoughts after getting to try it out online. Expect my full review later this week.

While working on his Monster Hunter World review, our lead editor Jason has also been putting some significant hours into Subnautica, which he believes is one of the very best survival games currently available. He’s also been playing through the Shadow of the Colossus PS4 remake, with his full review set to drop sooner rather than later.

GR editor Cody has been playing a lot of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory, with him enjoying the JRPG a fair bit. He’s also working his way through Lost Sphear on the Nintendo Switch, so you can expect a review later this week.

But that’s enough about us — what games have you been playing this week? As always, let us know in the comments section below.
