Tell GR: What Was Your Favorite Old-School Gaming Magazine?

The GameRevolution community is a long-standing one, having been around since the site’s inception way back in 1996. As such, a lot of our veteran readers have been with us for over two decades, and while we’re most certainly a forward-thinking games website, we often like to look back to the good old days, too. For those of you who miss the old-school gaming magazines from the ’80s/’90s, then the folks at GR Towers have been working on something just for you — the soon-to-be-revealed GameRevolution Magazine.

We can’t reveal too much just yet, though we can say that those who miss retro gaming magazines will be head-over-heels in love with our latest project. As the GR staff continues to work diligently on bringing our big ideas to life, we thought we’d open up the discussion to our GameRevolutionaries and learn more about your reading habits over the years.

Did you have a gaming magazine subscription way back when? Were you a regular reader of the likes of Nintendo Power or Electronic Gaming Monthly? Or perhaps you still prefer print to online, and still regularly purchase magazines as a result. As with everything on GR, we tailor our projects to the interests of our readers, so getting an idea of what you loved in those old-school magazines is going to help us shape our new project into something you love.

Let us know what your favorite old-school gaming magazines were in the comments section below, and keep it tuned to GR to find out more about GameRevolution Magazine in the very near future.
