There’s no simple answer to the question of whether or not Halo MCC has cross-play or not. If I had to sum it up in one word, I’d say, “Kinda.”
The cross-platform capabilities of the game between Steam, Windows Store, and Xbox One are confusing, to say the least. Some features have continuity between the three platforms, and some don’t.
Does Halo MCC have cross-play multiplayer?
The biggest question you probably have if you’ve stumbled across this article is whether or not Steam, Windows Store, and Xbox One users have the option of cross-play multiplayer. The good news is that Steam and Windows Store users can play together. The bad news is that Xbox One players don’t get cross-play multiplayer.
The Halo MCC dev team has said that they’ll be looking into the possibility of adding Xbox One and PC cross-play at some point. However, the feature isn’t currently on the roadmap.
Does Halo MCC have cross-save?
So, this is where things get tricky. There’s no Xbox One/PC cross-play, but it does have cross-save between the two platforms. However, there are some caveats to this capability.
