Elden Ring Jellyfish Shield Location: Does an enemy drop it?

The Jellyfish Shield is one of the more ridiculous pieces of gear in Elden Ring. It’s found in a random location that is easy to overlook, and players might find themselves trying to get it to drop from enemies for hours if they’re trying to farm it. Fortunately, it’s not too tough to find once players know its vicinity.

Where do you find the Jellyfish Shield in Elden Ring?

Elden Ring Jellyfish Shield Location

To find the Jellyfish Shield location in Elden Ring, players will need to find the Foot of the Four Belfries Site of Grace in Liurnia. This area is located in the northwest part of the region north of the Evergaol of the Cuckoo and southwest of Testu’s Rise. It shouldn’t be confused with The Four Belfries Site of Grace which is located to the northeast.

Once players spawn at the Foot of the Four Belfries Site of Grace, they should proceed along the road a short distance to the north. Just off the road to the east will be four Spirit Jellyfish encircling a corpse. Players can find the Jellyfish Shield on this dead body.

One thing to note about the Jellyfish Shield is that its description is misleading:

“The head of a spirit jellyfish, commonly found floating above sacred ground throughout the Lands Between, wielded without modification as a shield.

The see-through head is extremely light, but its flesh is supple, providing absolutely no protection from piercing attacks.”

Though it says that it offers no protection from piercing attacks, it actually blocks 100% of physical damage.

Unfortunately, the Jellyfish Shield can’t be farmed from enemies. We’ve only seen it in the one location, though it’s possible there may be multiple locations where it can be obtained. However, since it has a unique skill, Contagious Fury, we’re fairly confident that only one exists per journey.
