You’ll likely have difficulty finding Rodge in the “Prey for the Pack” side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This is one of several quests that don’t give you much information or a specific quest marker. Instead, you’re given a series of clues you need to put together to find Rodge’s location and save him before wolves kill him. Complicating matters is the fact that this is a timed quest and you can fail it if you ignore it too long. You’ll also find that there’s a bit of a red herring in this mission that’ll make you think Rodge is supposed to be found in a particular area. This may make it seem like the “Prey for the Pack” quest is bugged, but it’s not.
Where to find Rodge in “Prey for the Pack” in Dragon’s Dogma 2
After you start the “Prey for the Pack” quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by talking to Morris, you’ll need to speak to several people in town to pinpoint Rodge’s location.
The three clues you get boil down to the following:
- Timothy: Rodge was carrying a bundle of grass before the wolves attacked him.
- Jacint: Rodge often tends to a flowerbed on the outskirts of town.
- Alsa: A unique type of flower in the area glows at night.
Once you speak to these three, the quest marker will move to an area east of the Checkpoint Rest Town. However, when you reach it, the quest marker will disappear without fanfare or Rodge. At this point, you might think the quest is bugged since you’ve not been given any further clues, but that’s not the case.
Confusingly, you just need to continue following the blue flower patches east. Your target is Putrid Cave, which is southwest of the bridge (see the map above). Enter it, kill the wolves, and grab Rodge.
Now, all that’s left is to escort him back to Morris. You’ll encounter a few groups of enemies on the way, but nothing that is too much of a threat. Rodge is pretty slow, so I ended up carrying him back to Checkpoint Border Town. Once Rodge gets close enough to Morris, dialog will automatically start, and you’ll complete the mission.
