Bloodborne Enters Several Days of “Emergency Maintenance”

Bloodborne just received its first expansion pack in the form of The Old Hunters. It's been enough to increase the population to figures similar to the game's original launch, but this week's emergency maintenance will challenge its surge of popularity.

FromSoftware has confirmed that Bloodborne's servers are currently under maintenance. The maintenance was published in Japanese on its official website, which shares that the maintenance is expected to take a "few days." There is no explanation for why this is happening, but many are suggesting that it's to fix the free DLC exploit which allowed players to obtain the content without purchase.

During this time, features such as co-op, messaging, and PvP won't be available.

For players who rely on co-op to take down the harsh bosses in Bloodborne, this maintenance has invoked frustration. On the plus side, invasions are impossible.
