DOOM Gets Release Date and New Gameplay Trailer

DOOM is nearing completion of development. Bethesda has decided to take the opportunity to announce when gamers can expect to finally play the game.

DOOM has been scheduled for a release on May 13th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Although a standard $59.99 MSRP version of the game will become available on that date, there will also be a collector's edition that includes a 12" Revenant statue equipped with LED lighting and a self-spinning base packaged alongside a copy of the game in a metal case.

In addition to the release date announcement is a new trailer that shows off the game's fast-paced, violent gameplay that intends to propel DOOM into the new generation. You can see it below:

DOOM has been long-awaited by fans who played the last installment of the franchise as far back as 11 years ago. It will include new gameplay mechanics focused on retaining combat tempo in addition to a full-feature multiplayer component.
