Mario Kart 8 Deluxe May Be Getting A Price Cut For The Nintendo Switch

Mario Kart 8 will be hitting the Nintendo Switch in April – that much is known – for a previously reported price of $59.99. Of course that's the MSRP, but it's still raised the ire of many people who feel $60 for a port to the Switch, bonus features or not, is just too high a price to pay.

Well, Nintendo may have heard those complaints. Nintendo's page for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe currently does not have a price, where as Google cache shows it was listed at $59.99 recently. See below:

Why could this be if not a price change? I suppose any number of things, including a simple clerical or coding error.

That being said, if the price is dropping, it would be a welcome change, even if it's to something around $49.99. Although, I must admit, I would purchase this so much more quickly if it was in the $39.99 neighborhood, but that's probably nothing more than a pipe dream.

A guy can dream, though, right?
