Electronic Arts In Running For Consumerist’s Worst Companies In America

Time to vote on something meaner than the Madden cover athlete. The Consumerist has already gone through several rounds of the Worst Company in America 2012, a single-elimination bracket of which the winner is chosen by you.

So far, they've narrowed it down to the final eight: Bank of America (worse than citibank), ticketmaster, PayPal, Walmart (worse than GameStop), AT&T (worse than Apple), Facebook, Comcast, and last but not least, Electronic Arts. The company defeated Sony in the first round, even after its infamous security breach.

We're not sure if Electronic Arts sits so low because of its DLC practices, its Origin service, sometimes erratic online servers, and well, you've probably got more than that. I'm surprised that other video game companies aren't on the list, though. Perhaps WE should make our own worst bracket… hmmm… *evil grin*
