Activision Recognizes Issues With CoD Elite Launch, “There’s A Lot Of People We Pissed Off”

Activision's subscription-based Call of Duty service received quite a bit of flack when it first launched late last year, and rightly so. Calling Elite's first month "rough" is putting it lightly. Heck, it still has yet to be made available for the PC gaming crowd some six months after it went live for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers.

Fortunately, Activision isn't turning a blind eye, as product manager Noah Heller told MCV that “We still have to prove ourselves.” Heller went on to acknowledge the gaming community's issues with the service, pointing out that they have made great strides since its launch, and plan to continue that trend by dishing out more improvements in the future.

“There’s a lot of people we pissed off all the way back to November, and we have to show them we are not going to let that happen again. But we have started fulfilling our promises and people are starting to get it is real value for money,” he said.

There's no denying that the service has improved greatly since November, but will Activision be able to win over jaded gamers who are beginning to fall victim to franchise fatigue?
