No E3 Booth For THQ

With THQ forced to A THQ spokesperson spoke with GamesIndustry International on their lessened participation at E3 this year:

We're not producing a booth, but we will be participating in E3. We will be showing games to the E3 judges at their event coming up, and we'll be hosting a press and business center at the show for meetings (as well as participating with first party activities).

When we needed to make the decision on the booth (many months ago) we were in a MUCH different place than today. But, we will be there to support our portfolio and the show itself.

Given that some booths cost upwards of a $1 million, this move isn't surprising on a financial basis. But it's still a surprise when THQ has had one of the largest presences on the show floor, and that it has a wide portfolio: Darksiders II, inSANE, Metro: Last LightHomefront 2, Company of Heroes 2, WWE '13, Devil's Third, and last but not least, South Park: The Game.

Hopefully, we're hear more about THQ's strong lineup in perhaps some pre-E3 press events.
