Metro: Last Light For Wii U Will Not Release With Other Consoles, If At All

Metro: Last Light might have appeared on the Wii U during Nintendo's press conference last year, but apparently that really didn't mean jack squat. THQ global brand manager Mark Madsen recently admitted that yeah, it's not even in the development phase for the Wii U.

Madsen didn't say that it would never release, but if it did, it wouldn't be until after the game launches for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. *cue The Price is Right loser music here.*

"As we got along in the development process, we just really wanted to focus on what we knew," he explained. Obviously, what they know includes the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360, but not the Wii U.

It's a safe guess that no one really knows the Wii U in terms of coding and development, and that includes Nintendo. However, it doesn't speak volumes toward an upcoming console that a hardcore game previously announced for it may not be released for it at all. If I was a doomsdayer, I'd ask if this was a sign of the downfall for the console, but I'm not. I'll let you all discuss it in the comments while I eat a cupcake and snicker with evil glee. (I was less than impressed with the Wii U since its announcement last E3.)
