Microsoft Sold 750,000 Xbox 360s Last Week

In case you've somehow forgotten, Black Friday was last week and people bought a lot of stuff on the cheap. Microsoft's Xbox 360 turned out to be quite the hot item, as console sales hit the 750,000 in the U.S. last week.

While this is lower than the 960,000 units Microsoft sold last year, it's still quite an impressive number, especially considering the fact that the Wii U only sold 400,000 in the same timeframe. Sure, the Nintendo's console just launched and supply is limited, but the fact that many consumers aren't having too much trouble finding Wii U's on store shelves isn't all too encouraging either.

It's incredible that the Xbox 360 still has some serious selling power, especially in light of the fact that the hardware is now a good seven years old. I really hope Microsoft doesn't use this as an excuse to hold off on announcing the Xbox 720. We want new hardware now!
