IO Interactive has given us a heads up for what’s coming up with the Hitman 2 December Roadmap. We’ll be getting the first round of Featured Contracts, the first Escalation Contract, and a brand new Elusive Target now that your chance to murder Sean Bean is drawing to an end. IO has also teased a “holiday surprise” that’ll be coming in mid-December.
December 6 will see IO release the first round of Featured Contracts, with the five being chosen based on the theme of “Occupational Hazards.” The contracts that will be included are created by Hitman 2 players before being chosen by the developers based on their merit. IO has also said that the theme for January’s contracts will be made public in the near future.
We’ll also see the games first Escalation Contract on December 13. The “Aelwin Augment” will have you and Agent 47 returning to the lavish Isle of Sgail as the contact’s challenges ramp up after each successful run. Aelwin isn’t technically the first Escalation Contract though, with IO having quietly released the Escalation challenge for Santa Fortuna last week, which is called the Macmillan Surreption contract.
And we’ll also get another Elusive Target arriving on December 21. IO hasn’t given any details other than the name of the second Elusive Target: The Revolutionary. Though players will get a more information about the target closer to his arrival. Unlike the two weeks players were given to take out Sean Bean, you only have ten days to kill off this target. Though, you’ll snag yourself a snazzy casual tourist outfit with gloves if you can complete the mission.
IO has also teased a seasonal event for Hitman 2 which will arrive on December 18. Again, details on what the surprise could be are sparse at the moment. All we know is that it’ll be a limited time event – please don’t make us kill Santa, IO.
