Hearthstone players, prepare to pull off the wildest bit of thievery since Nicholas Cage stole the Declaration of Independence. The Dalaran Heist is here and will set you on a mission to steal Dalaran. Yup. The entire city.
Following the release of their latest Hearthstone expansion, Rise of Shadows, Blizzard has served up something devilish. The new solo adventure has a plot outlandish enough to make you laugh and charming enough to want to play through. In a crime worthy of fedora-wearing, cigar-chomping villains of old who say “nyeeh” too much, Arch-Villain Rafaam and his League of E.V.I.L. are conjuring up a wicked scheme. The players will serve as their lackeys as they attempt to steal the floating city of Dalaran and all its inhabitants.
As with previous Hearthstone adventures, The Dalaran Heist is comprised of multiple chapters that can be bought with in-game or real-world currency. The first chapter is free for everyone, allowing for a taste of thievery that is sure to sink in and leave players wanting more.
The more chapters completed, the more rewards await players. For every chapter finished, players are granted 3 Rise of Shadows card packs. Unlocking all chapters earns you Zayle, Shadow Cloak, a card which grants you access to five League of E.V.I.L. decks. So, whether you’re a new player or just looking for new ways to win, Zayle kindly builds five decks for you. Pretty good deal!
This will be the first year-long storyline Hearthstone has produced. In response to fan feedback, Blizzard crafted the adventure in a dungeon-run style which more readily lends itself to replayability. Instead of the usual classes and characters, players get to experience henchmen characters with new abilities. Each has unique hero powers, voice acting, and decks.
The challenging bosses and new deck strategies will keep players entertained throughout the adventure. Now, practice your evil laugh and begin the thievery!
