Trey Parker Refused To Cut Content For Future DLC

Trey Parker, one of the co-creators of South Park, announced at a San Diego Comic Con panel last night that he and his partner, Matt Stone, refused to cut content from their game for the sake of DLC.

He explained that he and Matt wrote roughtly 850 pages of story and dialogue for South Park: The Stick of Truth for Obsidian. Of course, this was a bit too much, so when Obsidian sat down with them to cut down the script for the game, the suggestion did come up a few times that some of the content could be cut for DLC.

Parker's response? "Fuck that."

Parker told the SDCC audience that if they use the cut content for anything, they'll use it for the show. He didn't mention DLC again, but it's quite safe to assume that if they have any at all, it will be fresh content.

Parker also said that the upcoming RPG was inspired by Skyrim, The Legend of Zelda, and even Earthbound. The game is also still slated for a holiday release this year. I cannot wait.
