Borderlands 2 Getting Raised Level Cap In Digistruct Peak Challenge

2K and Gearbox Software have announced, via press release, that Borderlands 2 will be receiving yet another DLC add-on for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Mac called Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge. Could that be any longer, Gearbox?

This upgrade, scheduled for the fall and priced at only $4.99 (or 400 MSP), will increase the level cap from 61 to 72 for all six playable characters, allowing them to invest their skill points more thoroughly between various skill trees. It's uncertain whether this means that enemies will be scaled higher in difficulty as well, but given past experience with the original Borderlands it probably will. However, this upgrade does not come with the Season Pass, as the "season" has ended, though it's still available at $29.99 for the latest four add-on campaigns (savings of $15).

Alongside this upgrade will be new, individualized boss fights with bonus content where players will unlock a new quest with an epic boss fight that, if players conquer, comes with another loot drop and unique head and skin. This content will be available in the fall and continue into 2014.

Of course, if just want more head and skin sets, each of them will be only $0.99 (80 Microsoft Points), just so you know what to do with all those paltry Microsoft Points rewards.
