It looks like Titans Season 5 may have been accidentally confirmed by Nightwing/Dick Grayson actor Brenton Thwaites, despite the Titans Season 4 release date not having been confirmed yet after it was announced at DC FanDome last month. It’s likely that a Titans Season 5 release date on HBO Max won’t be until 2023 and the team may only be planning out storylines right now, but it certainly sounds like a further season is on the cards.
Titans Season 5 release date confirmed?
It seems like Titans Season 5 is already being planned, or at least the team is already considering plot elements to push forward with into Season 5, according to Nightwing actor Brenton Thwaites.
Thwaites was interviewed by Matt Sheehan regarding a plot point introduced in Season 2 and brought back in Season 3’s penultimate episode “Prodigal,” in which Dick Grayson sees himself having a relationship with Starfire/Koriand’r (Mame-Anna Diop) and them having a daughter — who directly appeared in a vision in “Prodigal.” In the popular graphic novel Kingdom Come, Nightwing and Starfire have a girl named Mar’i, so this may be the storyline Titans is setting up.
When asked about this plotline, Thwaites calls it a hint “for what’s to come in Season 4 and 5,” and he had to make sure that the team “were very confident that would happen, because I feel like doing that and not following through? You can’t do that too many times.” So while many elements of Titans are still being planned out, it seems the team is at least looking forward and plotting Season 5 — even if it may not have been publicly confirmed yet.

What is the Titans Season 5 release date on HBO Max?
Titans Season 5 will likely release on HBO Max in the second half of 2023, probably around August-October time, going by previous seasons’ launch dates. Apart from production being delayed in 2020 due to the pandemic, each Titans season has launched yearly during this time period. Titans Season 4 should launch in late 2022 with Season 5 in 2023.
