Elden Ring Mod Tekken 7 Crossover Katsuhiro Harada

Tekken 7 Director Wants Fans to “Please Stop” Asking About Elden Ring Mod, Potential Crossover

Katsuhiro Harada, Game Director for Tekken 7, has clarified that the Elden Ring mod that inserts Elden Ring characters into the fighting game is not actually a real game or crossover, telling confused fans to stop asking him about it. So far, at the time of this writing the trailer for the Tekken 7 Elden Ring mod has received over 1.3 million views on Twitter.

Why the Tekken 7 director wants people to stop asking about the Elden Ring mod

When modder Ultraboy released his Tekken 7 Elden Ring mod, little did he know that it looked so good that people started asking Harada about whether this was real or if it could be real. All the mod does is reskin eight Tekken characters with characters from Elden Ring; for example, changing Kunimitsu into Malenia, Kazuma with Ranni the Witch (the spectral steed Torrent replaces Kazumi’s tiger), Gigas with a living jar enemy, and well, Heihachi with a lobster.

Given that Elden Ring is a Bandai Namco property and Tekken 7 is no stranger to some wacky crossover characters, like Negan from The Walking Dead, it’s not too much of a stretch that some fans might be confused about the authenticity of the video or be very interested if it were authentic later down the road. But through a tweet, Harada made sure to tell them to “plz stop” asking him about it:

When asked by a fan why it seems that he is against this Elden Ring mod, Harada replied with an earlier tweet where he says that while he doesn’t mind mods “for your personal enjoyment,” it unfortunately leads to confusion where “many people misunderstand it as official and ask us to support the problems it causes (I’m tired of this wrong inquiry).”

Harada also isn’t someone who likes being trolled, responding to one fan who said “bad move” in the thread with a lengthy tweet: “Not as much as you usually do. And if you don’t understand the true meaning of this tweet, shut your mouth and sit the hell down.”

In other news, Nintendo Switch Online will be getting several additional SNES and NES games this week, and Intel has introduced itself into the GPU market with the Arc series of video cards.
