[Update]: Check out the livestream from Epic Games now!

UE4 Dev Community + Epic. The future of Unreal Tournament. Tune in to http://t.co/hPLc5jcZSv Thursday at 2pm ET. #unrealdev #FirstBlood

— Paul Meegan (@PaulMeegan) May 2, 2014 Epic Games will reveal a brand new Unreal Tournament game during a livestream on Thursday, with the studio's Paul Meegan tweeting the announcement as you see above.

We don't have much to go on aside from what you see above. Watch this page and we'll update with the livestream on Thursday so you can watch and comment on GameRevolution. It seems like Epic will follow Team Fortress 2 in allowing players to create new content for the game, but we're still lacking confirmation on what role the development community will play.

The last entry in the franchise, Unreal Tournament 3, used the beefy Gears of War character design with enhanced fragging speed, but also felt like an apology to PlayStation gamers who never got the Gears franchise altogether.
