Dying Light Delayed to February 2015

Techland has regrettably revealed via press release that Dying Light will be delayed a few months from Winter of this year to February 2015.

The development team explains the delay due to its commitment to innovation, providing parkour-like movement in an open-world environment as shown in a preview to me at PAX Prime last year. The team is "so close to realizing our initial vision we feel we cannot stop before it is ready."

Given the potential that I saw with the game earlier, I have no qualms with this delay. The game's publisher, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, holds the same belief by supporting the decision and pushing for high quality in a new IP.

Techland and Warner Bros. will be providing additional information starting at E3 2014. Dying Light is still slated for release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
