Nintendo Announced Pokémon Art Academy for Nintendo 3DS

Pokémon fans will need to pick up their Nintendo 3DS handhelds and get that stylus out for Pokémon Art Academy, which brings Nintendo's massively successful RPG franchise together with the downloadable series that teaches gamers how to paint, sketch, and draw this fall.

Pokémon Art Academy gives players the chance to follow step-by-step instructions in 40 different lessons which help them draw the most beloved monsters in the series. "A friendly tutor takes students of all ages through these lessons," the release states, "each of which breaks down complex-looking images into simple steps."

Pokémon Art Academy will teach players how to draw the likes of Pikachu, Oshawott, Charizard, Torchic, Fletchling, and Fennekin. The title will be available exclusively on Nintendo 3DS through both the eShop and at retail this fall.

The game's website boasts that players will use a variety of art tools and share their works with others via the game's Miiverse community, though we'll have to wait and see what SpotPass connectivity brings to the title and how the lessons teaching Mega Evolution Pokémon turn out.
