[Update] A spokesperson from Nintendo UK provided a statement to CVG in response to recent reports that the company's NFC platform will somehow be integrated into Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
According to the rep, the company has not officially announced any specific titles that will support Nintendo's figurine platform.
On 8th May 2014, Mr Iwata announced the decision for Nintendo to release character figurines with built-in NFC functionality that are compatible with video games starting from this year-end sales season. There has, however, not been any specific announcements regarding which software titles for Nintendo platforms will use this functionality. We have no other announcements to make at this time.
While this may seemingly call into question whether or not Sakurai's upcoming fighter will feature figurine support, there's a good chance Nintendo is just covering its tracks after its division in France let the cat out of the bag a bit early. Either way, we'll know soon enough, as E3 is right around the corner.
[Original] Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will feature NFC support, according to an interview with Nintendo France.

Wii U had suffered the past a lack of games a year, with widely spaced outlets. The beginning of the year 2014 was also quiet, what will happen after the release of Mario Kart 8? Many games release will be formalized at the show at E3, but you already know that we out action game Bayonnetta 2.
