Thatgamecompany Raises $7 Million for “Emotionally Engaging Experience”

The incredible developer, thatgamecompany, behind the seminal trio of titles, flOw, Flower, and Journey, has announced through a post on its official website that it has been given a $7 million investment from a group of investors including Capital Today.

Along with that substantial pick-me-up comes great news for the developer's new title, which has now "entered the next phase of development," and will allow thatgamecompany to "being laying the infrastructure to self-publish, market, and distribute on our own terms."

Not much information on the developer's new project has been shared, but it's been described as an "emotionally engaging experience centered around human connections" that's in "the same spirit as… Journey."
