PSP Ends Its Run in Japan, Later in Europe

The PlayStation Portable handheld has already been discontinued in the States and other North American territories back in January, but today Sony Japan has announced, as translated by The Verge, that the PSP will be meeting its end in Japan.

The PSP will continue to ship to Europe until late this year and to other Asian and Latin American territories indefinitely.

Its certainly a sad day for the PSP, but let's remember the fond memories of the Vita's predecessor before we pocket the device away in our attics for safekeeping. Looking back on my library of PSP titles, I played way too much Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 and Pangya: Fantasy Golf to be considered healthy. The PSP was also home to Puzzle Quest, Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower, and some of the classic Persona titles which weren't released anywhere else.

What are some of your best memories of the PSP?
