Welcome to the New GameRevolution, Where the Reader Comes First

Hello, and welcome to the brand new GameRevolution.

You know that burst of confidence you get when you buy a nice new shirt or have your hair cut? Imagine that, but if the last time you bought a shirt or cut your hair was 1996. That’s the year GameRevolution was founded, and while the site has received various updates and makeovers since then, nothing has been as substantial as this.

What we’ve improved

This is so much more than a refresh — this is a complete overhaul to focus on everything our readers have been asking for over the years. Our user interface is fully optimized, fully customizable, and superfast on both desktop and mobile. We’ve added tons of bells and whistles, from an informative and useful games database (it’s still populating, but soon it’ll have the latest news, screenshots, and information related to every upcoming and current release!) to a sleek native video player, and our ad experience is now as unobtrusive and inoffensive as possible.

We’ve listened to feedback, utilized what we’ve learned throughout the 26 years of interest history GR has been active, and returned with a design that perfectly matches our ambitions.

From the ground up, GameRevolution’s redesign has been built with the reader in mind. Thanks to the web engineering team at XWP, GR is faster, smoother, and streamlined to an incredible degree. This is reflective of what we want to achieve — we want to provide a completely user-focused gaming and entertainment website, that presents readers with the information they want on a site that delivers that information straightforwardly.

Our goal

No matter how you find GameRevolution — whether you’re a regular, you find us via Google, or you click on one of our posts on Facebook or Twitter — we want you to feel like you got exactly what you wanted out of that visit. In a time when articles bury two sentences of necessary information amid eight needless paragraphs, and YouTubers produce 10-minute intros to tackle a question with a 30-second answer, we want to make sure you leave GR satisfied.

Now, we understand why information is delivered to users in this way. Everyone is trying to massage the algorithm, and we’re certainly not innocent when it comes to experimenting with similar strategies — look, we’ve all gotta eat! But after so long spent swimming as a fish in a very large ocean, our talented team knows exactly what it takes to remain incredibly competitive in a crowded space, and how to produce content that’s both valuable for our reader while blasting beyond our internal targets.

We’ve smashed multiple milestones and broken traffic records for the site, and have seen constant progress in a time when many of our peers have unfortunately struggled. We’ve done all of this in spite of working with a slew of technical limitations — now that we have the tools to do our job as efficiently and effectively as possible, we can be forgiven for being confident in what the future holds for us.

Take a look around, let us know what you think, and be prepared to see the ‘GameRevolution’ name plastered all over the internet.
