Free-to-Play LittleBigPlanet Game Coming to PS Vita, Mobile

The developers behind LittleBigPlanet 3 have been working on more than just the upcoming creation-heavy platformer, as Sony XDev Europe has announced a brand-new title starring the franchise's cute mascot for PS Vita and mobile devices.

It's called Run SackBoy! Run! and is set to release this October. Senior producer Tom O’Connor describes the title as being a "platform-survival game," which immediately makes me think "endless runner." It will be free-to-play and has been engineered specifically to take advantage of the touch controls found on Sony's handheld and other mobile devices.

In addition, playing the game will earn you some nifty goodies, namely exclusive costumes for LittleBigPlanet 3, so there's absolutely no reason for fans of the series to pass on this one. At the very least, it'll tide you over until the November release of LBP 3.
