Blizzard’s Titan Officially Canceled

Blizzard, the studio behind the ground-breaking MMO World of Warcraft, has announced that it has canceled what was going to be its next big foray into the very same genre.

That's right, folks. Titan is officially dead.

The studio confirmed the news in an interview with Polygon. "We had created World of Warcraft, and we felt really confident that we knew how to make MMOs," Blizzard co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime told the outlet. "So we set out to make the most ambitious thing that you could possibly imagine. And it didn't come together."

"We didn't find the fun," Morhaime went on to add. "We didn't find the passion. We talked about how we put it through a reevaluation period, and actually, what we reevaluated is whether that's the game we really wanted to be making. The answer is no."

With Blizzard's digital card game Hearthstone being as popular as it is, and excitement building for the next WoW expansion and Heroes of the Storm, the studio still has plenty of killer content for fans to get excited about. Oh yeah, and didn't Diablo III just come to next-gen consoles? I think Blizzard will be just fine.
