Check Out This Lifelike 3D Render of the New Nintendo 2DS XL

This Thursday Nintendo will debut what could be the final SKU for its successful 3DS handheld. Called the New Nintendo 2DS XL, it’s a refined version of the device that we happen to think is Nintendo’s best hardware yet.

There are a lot of small details that make this new version of the 3DS family something special, from the placement of all its buttons, to its visually attractive outer shell. All-new materials have been utilized as well, making this a sleek device, unlike the more toy-like crafts of Nintendo’s past.

To offer a better idea of what it’s like in-person, Sketchfab has drafted a fully rendered 3D model of the handheld. Seen below, you can move it around and tinker with it from your web browser. Check it out:

You can also check out a 3D model of the Switch here.

The New Nintendo 2DS XL is capable of playing all 3DS games, in addition to being able to take advantage of upgraded games with its improved CPU and memory. What’s here is much faster and a bit more powerful than the early generation, despite its $149.99 price tag.
